USD to GBP

Historically, the British Pound (GBP) has usually been worth more than a single US Dollar, meaning the exchange rate is typically less than $1.00$ GBP per USD.

GBP is the official currency of the United Kingdom, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, and the British Antarctic Territory.

In forex trading, the USD/GBP exchange rate is often nicknamed "The Cable," referring to the telegraph cable under the Atlantic that transmitted rates in the 19th century.
